Thomas Hudson has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Graduate Mechatronics Engineer and Student Engineer at Custom Fluidpower Pty Ltd, where their key responsibilities included coordinating national engineering projects, assisting in preparing and implementing engineering business plans, and preparing, interpreting, and communicating engineering performance reports. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Embedded Systems Engineer at HiveUAV. During this time, they were also Self Employed as a Contracting Engineer. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Research Engineer at the University of Technology Sydney, and from 2018 to present they have been an Embedded Software Manager and Software Engineer at Advanced Navigation.

Thomas Hudson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Newcastle from 2010-2015. Thomas also attended Merewether High School from 2004-2009. In addition, they obtained an Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in September 2016 and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Controller Certificate [Multirotor < 7kg] from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in August 2016.
