Jason Peterson has a long and varied work experience in the music and media industry. Jason began their career in 2001 as the CEO and Founder of Symbolic Entertainment, a producer of music videos and commercials for clients such as Universal, EMI, Sony, Warner, and Epitaph. In 2010 they took on the role of CEO of ContentBridge, a global media supply chain logistics company. In 2012 they took on the role of CEO of AdShare, Inc., a user generated content monetization service. Later that year they also became a board member of OTT.X, the trade group for the U.S. home entertainment industry. In 2013 they took on the role of Chairman of Major Record Label for Independents at Cinq Music, a Grammy award winning record label and distributor. In 2020 they became a Board Member of WIN Worldwide Independent Network, the global trade association that coordinates each country's local independent recorded music industry trade groups. Jason also became a Board Member of IFPI & WIN joint venture RDx, and a Board Member and advisor of MERLIN, a collective bargaining organization representing the world's independent record labels. Finally, in 2021 they joined the Advisory Board of the Music Business Association, the trade group for the $100B a year business of music.
Jason Peterson began their educational journey in 2000, earning a BS in Business Administration with a Cinema Emphasis from the University of Southern California. Jason also obtained an Associate of Science in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the USC - John H. Mitchell Business of Cinematic Arts Program. In 2004, Jason graduated from Pepperdine Law with a JD in Law. Jason has also obtained certifications as an Attorney from the California Bar and as a Real Estate Broker from the CA Dept of Real Estate.
