Mat Kancler has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2011, they started as a Crew Member at Zombie Army Productions and worked there until 2016. In 2015, they worked as a Second Unit Camera and B Cam Unit at Yokai Films. In 2017, they joined United Record Pressing, LLC as a Quality Control professional until 2020. During their time there, they also worked as a Production Intern at tastytrade for a couple of months in 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Camera Operator at Song Suffragettes and as a Production Assistant at Hi-Fi Fusion for a short period. Mat also worked on a short film called Aembras for Best Part Productions. Currently, they hold the position of Customer Support Specialist at ADS Security, starting in March 2020.

Mat Kancler received an Associate's Degree in Film and Broadcast from Tribeca Flashpoint College from 2013 to 2015.
