Khaled Salmeen is the Executive Director of Downstream Industry, Marketing and Trading (DM&T) at ADNOC. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the expansion of DM&T’s gas, refining and petrochemicals business. He spearheads the development of TA’ZIZ and plays a pivotal role in ADNOC’s exploration of new business opportunities within the hydrogen market, helping accelerate the diversified energy group’s decarbonization journey. In this role, Salmeen also oversees ADNOC’s international and domestic trading companies, maritime logistics and services business, and the leading fuel distributor and convenience store operator in the UAE, ADNOC Distribution.
In his previous role at ADNOC, Salmeen led the transformation of its Marketing, Supply and Trading Directorate into a more customer and market-centric shipping, storage and trading organization. Additionally, he led ADNOC's transformation initiatives as the Program Management Office Director from 2016 to 2017, demonstrating his strong track record of leadership.
He previously served as CEO of Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), Chairman of Abu Dhabi Terminals, and COO of Tabreed (National Central Cooling Company).
Salmeen currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for ADNOC Logistics and Services, ADNOC Refining, ADNOC Gas, Borouge ADP, Fertiglobe, ADNOC Global Trading and ADNOC Distribution. He is also Chairman of Borouge PTE, ADNOC Trading, TA’ZIZ, and Abu Dhabi Gas Distribution. He also serves on the NGSCO Board of Directors and the OMV Supervisory Board.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, US, and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.
