Gavin Bannerman is a software engineer at Administrate. Gavin previously worked as the executive manager for Queensland Memory at the State Library of Queensland from August 2014 to October 2017. In this role, they led the revision of the State Library of Queensland's Content Strategy to ensure holistic management of content and content-driven engagement. Gavin also built an engaged audience around Queensland history, increased State Library of Queensland's capacity to collect and celebrate Queensland's cultural heritage, and advocated for internal and external stakeholders as Senior User for Q ANZAC 100: Memories for a New Generation project.

Before that, they worked as the manager for original content at the State Library of Queensland from May 2011 to July 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing the development and delivery of quality content across a range of digital platforms. Gavin also oversaw the creation of new content, managed content migrations, and ensured that all content met the needs of the library's users.

Bannerman began their career at the State Library of Queensland in July 2005 as an outreach librarian. In this role, they delivered library services to a wide range of community groups and helped to develop the library's outreach program. Gavin also coordinated community events and workshops, and developed marketing materials for the library's programs and services.

Gavin Bannerman has a Graduate Diploma in Archives and Records Management from Curtin University of Technology. Gavin also has a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology, Philosophy, and Literature from The University of Queensland. Finally, they have a Senior Certificate from Kelvin Grove State High School.
