Melissa Durkin has worked in the research and laboratory field since 2016. Melissa began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Anderson Laboratory, where they worked in plant biology, genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry. During this time, they assisted a Ph.D. Candidate with their thesis project, attended weekly lab meetings, and kept a detailed lab notebook. In 2017, they worked as a Compound Logistics Intern and Lab Assistant at EMD Serono, Inc. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Associate II at Repertoire Immune Medicines and a Molecular Pharmacology Research Associate at EMD Serono, Inc. Melissa currently works as a Research Associate II at Adimab, LLC.

Melissa Durkin attended Penn State University from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology- Genetics.
