Klaus Bastgen has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Klaus started their career as a wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Institut für Genossenschaftswesen, WWU Münster in 1998, where they worked until 2003. Klaus then joined Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall as a Fachberater EDV / Vertriebssteuerung from 2004 to 2007 before being promoted to Teamleiter Vertriebsinstrumente und -technologien, a position they held until 2013. Bastgen then worked as a Prozessmanager at Rheinland Versicherungen AG from 2013 to 2017. Shortly after, they transitioned to adesso insurance solutions GmbH, where they held several senior roles, including Senior Consultant from 2017 to 2019, Head of Competence Center Requirements Engineering Live from 2020 to 2023, and Managing Consultant from 2019 to present. Currently, Bastgen serves as the Head of Product Development in|sure Health Claims at adesso insurance solutions GmbH.

Klaus Bastgen obtained their Diplom degree in Volkswirt from the University of Münster, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification as a Professionell Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in March 2018.
