April Brabender has been working in the professional world since 2008. April began their career as a Response to Intervention Coach at Waukegan Public Schools in 2008. In 2009, they moved on to become a Brand Strategist at Brabender Visual Arts, where they were responsible for helping their clients grow their businesses. In 2015, April began working as a Project Manager for AdeptPlus, a role they have held for the past five years.

April Brabender began their education in 1996 at Grayslake Community High School, where they completed their studies in 2000. April then attended Purdue University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Spanish Language Teacher Education.
