Simone Podschun is a Senior Advisor at adelphi since May 2023, after serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries from July 2015 to October 2022, where project coordination focused on the ecological and social carrying capacity concerning recreational activities in freshwater ecosystems. Prior experience includes research associate and PhD candidate at HafenCity Universität Hamburg, contributing to the interdisciplinary project plan B:altic on climate change adaptation strategies, along with teaching GIS courses, and research assistant roles at the University of Kiel on land use relationships. Simone Podschun holds a PhD in Urban Planning and Regional Development from HCU Hamburg, a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Kiel University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology of Organisms from Universität Osnabrück.
