Melany Vergara, PhD, is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Learning & Impact Manager at Adelante Mujeres, where responsibilities include leading organization-wide monitoring, evaluation, and learning strategies. Melany has developed and overseen comprehensive MEL frameworks to measure program effectiveness. Previous roles at Adelante Mujeres include Professional Development Manager and Professional Development Specialist, where initiatives for professional growth were created and managed. Prior experience includes serving as a Cultural Studies Instructor at the University of Florida, focusing on Latin American culture and language, and contributing as a teaching assistant and professional development specialist at the University of Arkansas. Melany is also an accomplished co-founder and vice president of talent development at Sikkhona Coaching & Consultoria. Melany holds a PhD in Spanish from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Spanish Literature from the University of Arkansas, and a Licenciatura in foreign language teacher training from Universidad del Atlántico.
