Dylan Barbera is a Program Officer at Additional Ventures since October 2023. Previously, from January to October 2023, Dylan served as a Scientific Project Manager and Postdoctoral Associate in Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, where responsibilities included managing a multi-institutional research collaboration on Parkinson's disease and promoting open science within the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's network. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientific Recruiter and Biotech Consultant at Recruitomics Consulting, and a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where extensive research in sensory cortex mechanisms was conducted. Earlier roles included Undergraduate Research Assistant at Northern Arizona University, contributing to studies on empathy using electroencephalography. Dylan holds a PhD in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences from Northern Arizona University, along with study abroad experience in Psychology at the University of Groningen.
