Jarmichael Harris has work experience in various roles related to addiction counseling and recovery.

Jarmichael is currently employed as the Director of Scholastic Recovery at Addiction Professionals of North Carolina (APNC) starting in October 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at East Carolina University where they held multiple roles. From September 2015 to October 2021, they served as the Program Coordinator for the Collegiate Recovery Community and also worked as an Alcohol and Other Drug Staff Counselor. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Professor at East Carolina University starting in December 2020.

Before joining East Carolina University, Jarmichael worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor at PORT Human Services-Adolescent Residential from January 2011 to October 2015. Jarmichael also had an internship at the same organization from August 2010 to November 2010.

Jarmichael Harris has an extensive education history. Jarmichael started their educational journey at Salisbury High School from 2002 to 2006, where they completed the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program and obtained their diploma.

After completing high school, Jarmichael continued their education at East Carolina University from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services with a minor in Drugs & Alcohol. This degree provides a solid foundation in the field of substance abuse and addiction.

Building upon their bachelor's degree, Jarmichael pursued further education at East Carolina University from 2013 to 2015. Jarmichael successfully completed a Master of Science degree in Substance Abuse & Clinical Counseling. This advanced degree likely equipped him with in-depth knowledge and clinical skills necessary for working with individuals struggling with substance abuse.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Jarmichael obtained a certification as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in March 2017. This certification, granted by the NC Addictions Specialist Practice Board, indicates their expertise in the field of addictions and demonstrates their commitment to professional development.
