Ahmed Al-Badawy has a strong background in entrepreneurship and executive leadership. Ahmed is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MarketKing, a position they assumed in December 2021. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Addicta, starting in October 2020.
Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Al-Badawy held several leadership roles in the healthcare industry. Ahmed was the Founder and Executive Chairman of VetCode, starting in July 2018. From November 2014 to July 2018, they served as the Chief Operations Officer mHealth at One Global.
Al-Badawy also gained extensive experience at Philips, where they held various positions from 2007 to 2014. Ahmed served as the Business Director MEA from August 2010 to October 2014, and as the Business Line Manager MEA from September 2007 to July 2010.
Earlier in their career, Al-Badawy worked at Esaote in different capacities. Ahmed served as the Area Business Manager GCC from February 2006 to August 2007. From September 2003 to January 2006, they were the Sales Team Leader North Africa. Ahmed initially joined Esaote as an Applications and Sales Engineer in July 2000 and held the position until August 2003.
Ahmed Al-Badawy has a diverse education history. Ahmed obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Higher Technological Institute in 2002. Ahmed then pursued a Master's degree in Business Marketing from Columbia Southern University, which they completed in 2005. In 2007, Ahmed Al-Badawy enrolled at the Harvard Business School Executive Education and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Healthcare Management in 2012. Lastly, in 2016 and 2017, they attended Karolinska Institutet, where they obtained an Associate's degree in eHealth Management.
