Jason Nasse, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist in Viral Communications at Addgene since August 2020. Previously, Jason served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University from March 2017 to March 2020, focusing on neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, employing AAV vectors for transgene delivery. At Washington State University, from June 2014 to February 2017, Jason investigated the impact of high-fat diets on synaptic signaling and gut-brain interactions related to obesity. As a Graduate Research Fellow at The Ohio State University, Jason conducted research on noradrenergic mechanisms and developed in vitro methodologies for studying medullary oromotor circuits. Jason's earlier experience includes working as a Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline, where electrocardiogram evaluations and electrophysiological experiments were performed. Educationally, Jason holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and a Master's in Biophysics, both from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
