Tad Preston has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Tad began their career as an EMT at Omni Medical Transport in November 2016 and continued until December 2018. Tad then worked as an IT Support Technician at Robert Half Technology for a brief period in November 2018. After that, Tad worked as an IT Specialist at Mubea from December 2018 to March 2020, where they gained expertise in PC/Laptop/Networking support and troubleshooting various software and hardware systems. Tad then joined the Butler County Sheriff's Office as a Communications Technician from March 2020 to February 2021, where they were responsible for managing the 911 network infrastructure and performing network troubleshooting. Tad's most recent role was as a Cybersecurity Analyst at TechSolve, Inc. from February 2021 to April 2023, where they conducted cybersecurity pre-assessments, implemented NIST 800-171 controls, and developed various security plans and policies. Presently, Tad is working as a Cybersecurity Consultant at Rhodian Group from April 2023 onwards.

Tad Preston's education history begins in 2017 when they enrolled at UC Blue Ash College. Tad pursued an Associate's degree in Information Technology and completed their studies in 2019. Later in 2017, they also started attending the University of Cincinnati, where they focused on Information Technology with a specialization in Cybersecurity. Tad graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology - Cybersecurity.

In addition to their formal education, Tad Preston has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity. In November 2019, they earned the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-501) Cert Prep: 1 Threats, Attacks, and Vulnerabilities certification from LinkedIn. In August 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA. Tad Preston also completed the Learning Computer Forensics course offered by LinkedIn in June 2020. Furthermore, they participated in the iQ4 Cybersecurity Virtual Apprenticeship program provided by iQ4 in April 2020. In March 2021, they achieved the Registered Practitioner certification from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB). The latest addition to their certifications is the Practical Network Penetration Tester certification from TCM Security, which they obtained in October 2022.
