Ries Derkman has a diverse work experience in business development and strategic partnerships. Ries started their career as the Head of Product Management & Licensing at Denda Games in 2008, where they were responsible for acquiring and licensing casual game titles for the company. Ries also managed the release of Dutch language games for the Nintendo DS platform and built a download platform for high-quality casual games.
In 2014, Ries joined Spil Games as a Business Development & Platform Relations specialist, where they developed strategic relationships with key platforms such as Apple, Google Play, and Facebook. Ries played a crucial role in driving the mobile distribution strategy globally, managing relationships with platform contacts, and overseeing games acquisition and licensing.
In 2018, Ries worked as a Business Development and Contract Negotiations Independent Contractor at Flaregames | F2P Mobile Games Publisher. Ries then moved on to Airnow Data as a Senior Business Development Executive, where they contributed to the development of a mobile market research and competitor tracking platform for the mobile industry.
In 2019, Ries joined RocketRide Games as a Senior Business Development Consultant, specializing in business development, strategic consulting, and production enhancements for the video game industry. Ries later took on the role of Lead Business Development & Strategic Partnerships at SMOKOKO LTD in the same year.
Most recently, in 2020, Ries became the Lead Business Development at AdaptMX, a company focused on adaptive technologies for privacy-first advertising and mobile monetization.
From 2003 to 2009, Ries Derkman attended Saxion University of Applied Sciences, where they acquired a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Economics.
