Ryan Manglona's work experience includes roles in various companies. Ryan began their career as a Courtesy Clerk at Safeway in April 2010 and then became a Front End Manager at Safeway on Bainbridge Island in November 2010. In September 2011, they joined Safeway/Starbucks as a Barista/Assistant Manager before moving to Dissmores IGA in September 2012 as a Barista. In September 2013, Ryan became a Virology Assistant at Washington State University, where they conducted experiments and presented data. From 2013 to 2015, they also worked as a Barista at Cafe Moro. Since September 2015, Ryan has been working at Adaptive Symbiotic Technologies as Director of Manufacturing.

Ryan Manglona attended Olympic College from 2008 to 2011, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Ryan then went on to study at Washington State University from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a degree in Microbiology- cell biology and genetics. During their time at Washington State University, Ryan focused on studies in Microbiology, General, and Psychology.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Manglona obtained a certification in ethics from the International Review Board in September 2012.
