James Bedford has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. James started their career in 1976 at IBM as a Sales Representative before moving on to Wang Laboratories, Inc. where they worked in Marketing and Sales for a decade.
From there, James joined HPR/McKesson as a Senior Sales Executive, leading the company's sales efforts in the healthcare Payor field. James played a crucial role in bringing the company to prominence through large account sales to BC/BS and HMO's on the east coast. The company eventually went public and was sold to McKesson.
Following their success at HPR/McKesson, James joined GMIS/McKesson as a Senior Sales Executive where they focused on catering to the healthcare Payor field. James led the company into the reseller channel, boosting recurring revenues by $5M over two years. James also took charge of government sales, specifically targeting Medicaid, Medicare, and VA.
James then joined Deloitte & Touche, LLC as a Sales Director in the healthcare sector, providing consulting in TPL and Fraud & Abuse areas. James worked there for two years before the division was spun off.
In 1999, James transitioned to MaxSol, Inc. as a Sales Manager, responsible for managing the U.S. sales efforts of the start-up, browser-based toolkit developer.
From 2002 to 2004, James served as the Northeast Sales Manager at Valicert, Inc., where they focused on developing the Northeastern U.S. region for e-transactions and security/PKI related products and professional services.
In 2005, James established their own Sales & Marketing company, working closely with senior management in a Change Management Software Company to introduce and grow revenues in the Insurance, financial, and government verticals through the development of alternate channels. James also took on the role of a Sales Executive for an enterprise-wide health benefit claims administration system, targeting the payer community.
Lastly, James joined Adaptive, Inc. in 2009 as the Vice President/Sales. Here they recruited, trained, and mentored top talent in a highly competitive market niche. James also worked on tackling the largest potential clients in the banking/financial, healthcare, and insurance verticals.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in sales and marketing, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth in various industries.
James Bedford attended Providence College from 1972 to 1976, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management. Their field of study was specifically focused on BS Management.
