Vanessa De Mello is a Senior Scientist at Adaptimmune currently specializing in Stem Cell Research. Prior to this role, Vanessa held positions at Oxitec Ltd and Abbott, gaining experience in molecular biology and technologist roles. Vanessa completed their Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Aberdeen, focusing on the role of Hippo co-activators in muscle cell fate and embryonic development. Vanessa also holds a Masters in Regenerative Medicine from the University of Bath and a Bsc(Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Portsmouth. During an internship at The University of Edinburgh, Vanessa worked in public engagement and authored a Children's science book.
