Phil Bardwell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Phil most recently joined Adaptimmune as a Senior Director of Translational Sciences, focusing on supporting the expanded pipeline of TCR-T and TRuC cell therapies for cancer patients. Prior to this, they held a similar role at TCR² Therapeutics Inc. Additionally, Phil worked at Repertoire Immune Medicines, where they held multiple positions, including Director of Clinical Biomarkers in Translational Medicine and Clinical Biomarker Lead. Phil also worked as a Principal Scientist at Torque and held a Senior Scientist position at AbbVie Bioresearch Center. Phil started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School / Mass. General Hospital and completed their Graduate Student and Postdoc roles at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Phil Bardwell earned their Ph.D. in Immunology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained their B.S. in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from UC San Diego, where they attended from 1989 to 1994.
