Joe Sanderson has a strong background in preclinical research and safety. Joe has held various roles at Adaptimmune, including Senior Director of Preclinical Research and Director of Preclinical Safety. Prior to their time at Adaptimmune, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton.

Joe Sanderson completed their education from 1997 to 2007 at the University of Liverpool, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Pharmacology and therapeutics. In addition, they have acquired the certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in September 2022.
