Yarrow M. has worked for a variety of companies from 2011 to 2021. From 2011-2013, Yarrow M. was a Procurement Specialist and Office Coordinator, as well as an Assistant Retail Manager at Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters Brooklyn NY. In 2013, Yarrow M. began working at Adafruit Industries, where they held the roles of Sustainability, Legal, and Policy Manager, Policy and Legal Research Analyst, Director of Employee Resources, Compliance, and Legal, Employee Resources and Accounting Lead, and Blog Contributor and manufacture/kitting associate. In 2017, Yarrow M. became a Climate Policy Lobbyist at Citizens'\u200b Climate Lobby. From 2018-2019, Yarrow M. was an Aquatic Research and Environmental Assessment Lab Assistant at Brooklyn College and a Volunteer Conservationist and Rehabilitator for Endangered and Endemic Sea Birds at Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB). In 2019, Yarrow M. began working as a Bureau of Water Supply - Continuous Improvement and Program Development Intern at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP). In 2021, Yarrow M. became an Operations Generalist at Lighter, a Sustainable Biotecture Organization, Design, and Build Intern at Earthship Biotecture, and a Science Communication Intern at GeoTenerife Ltd.

Yarrow M. attended Brooklyn College from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Earth & Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Sustainability. In 2018, they also attended Nelson Mandela University.
