Wesley Sun has a range of experience in the biosciences field. Wesley started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Vanderbilt University in 2014, where they gained valuable research skills. Wesley then worked as a Research Assistant II at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from 2016 to 2018, where they studied the roles of Neurofibromatosis type 2 in mouse eye development. During this time, they also managed lab inventory and trained new employees.

In 2019, Wesley joined Rumi Scientific as a Research Associate, where they optimized and scaled hESC differentiation protocols and performed high throughput drug screening. Wesley worked there until 2020.

From 2020 to 2023, Wesley joined Neurona Therapeutics, where they first worked as a Research Associate II and then as a Process Associate III. In their role as Process Associate III, they planned and executed process development experiments and developed GMP processes for cell culture and cryopreservation. Wesley also manufactured GMP lots for a clinical trial.

Most recently, Wesley joined Acurex Biosciences in 2023 as a Senior Research Associate.

Wesley Sun pursued their education at San Francisco State University from 2018 to 2020, where they completed a Professional Science Masters degree in Biotechnology. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they attended Vanderbilt University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience.
