Tawhida Shiropa is the Founder and CEO of Moner Bondhu, a role held since October 2015, and has served as an Acumen Fellow at both Acumen Academy and Acumen since January 2020. Tawhida is also an Alumni of the U.S. Department of State and has been a member of South Asian Women In Media (SAWM) since October 2017, and a moderator for Lean In Bangladesh since April 2017. Previously, Tawhida worked as a Senior Sub Editor at The Daily Prothom Alo from April 2008 to December 2019, where significant contributions were made to women's issues and lifestyle content. Additional experience includes founding Wake up Bangladesh, serving as a content editor for Plan Bangladesh's Girl Power Project, and volunteering as a storyteller for Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation. Tawhida's educational background includes a Master's degree in Economics from the National University of Bangladesh and recent programs at INSEAD and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women focused on mentoring women in business.
