Matthew Wood is a Principal at Acton Ostry Architects Inc., where tenure began in September 2007. Notable projects under Matthew's leadership include the Brock Commons Tallwood House at UBC, the tallest mass wood building at its completion, and the Gastown Child Care Centre, a pioneering certified Passive House project. Currently, Matthew directs the Woodland Park mixed-use residential development in Port Moody, designed to offer a range of housing options. Matthew's prior experience includes roles at Haverstock as Project Architectural Lead, as well as positions at NSDA Architects and Gardner Stewart Architects. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cardiff University's Welsh School of Architecture and a Pg Dip from the University of Westminster, alongside a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Studies from Cardiff University. Matthew holds professional designations as Architect AIBC, ARB(UK), MRAIC, and CPHD.
