Zhe Xu is an expert data scientist currently working at Activision since January 2022, previously holding the position of Lead Data Scientist. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Data Scientist in Search & Recommendation at Walmart, where contributions involved the development of query understanding and search reranking algorithms, and as a Software Engineer focused on various recommendation models using Azure and Databricks. Zhe Xu began a career as a Data Analyst at High 5 Games, creating models for game recommendation and player segmentation. Earlier experience includes a role as a Web Developer at V V Patchouli and as a Visiting Scholar at New York University, where work involved establishing a data processing pipeline for genomics sequencing data. Zhe Xu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a PhD in Genome Sciences/Genomics from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Nanjing University.
