Thibault Derousseaux has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Thibault is currently working at ActiveViam as a Principal Software Engineer, starting in August 2022. Prior to this role, Thibault held the position of Software Engineering Manager at ActiveViam from January 2021 to August 2022.

Before their managerial role, Thibault served as a Lead Software Engineer at ActiveViam, responsible for the JupyterLab extension and dashboarding application in the Atoti Python R&D team. There, they worked on validating the functioning of a goniometer system and studied channel coding technologies, designing a polar code codec in C.

Thibault also gained research experience during a three-month internship at UC Berkeley in 2013. The internship focused on signal processing, specifically the implementation of the FFAST algorithm in C++ to reduce the complexity and sample requirements for computing a discrete Fourier transform for sparse signals.

Prior to their internships, Thibault conducted an industrial internship at Safran in July 2012. Thibault performed quality, health, and safety audits at the turbojet production site of Power-Jet (a joint venture of Safran Group) in Rybinsk. Their responsibilities included ensuring employee safety and minimizing industrial hazards through documentation review, workshop visits, employee interviews, and report writing.
