Romain Colle

Romain Colle has a diverse work experience that spans over 16 years. Romain began their career as an Intern at Airbus Industry in 2004. Romain then moved on to Aressy, where they worked as an Intern responsible for a quality improvement program in 2005. In 2006, Romain worked as an Intern at Elyo (Suez Energy Services), where they focused on developing an extranet tool and a synchronization tool between databases.

In 2007, Romain joined Oracle Corporation as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. Romain worked as a Software Engineer in the Database Server Manageability team, specifically on the Oracle Database Replay project.

In 2010, Romain started their journey with ActiveViam, where they held various roles and demonstrated their leadership skills. Romain initially worked as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of ActivePivot, an in-memory OLAP server known for its fast performance and real-time capabilities. In 2014, Romain became the Software Development Manager, leading the R&D team for ActivePivot and ActiveMonitor. Under their guidance, the team developed a real-time, in-memory analytical platform using the JAVA programming language.

In 2020, Romain took on the role of Director of Software Engineering at ActiveViam, where they led the atoti R&D team and played an instrumental role in creating ActiveViam's atoti, a pioneering Python BI analytics platform. Additionally, Romain also created atoti CE, a data visualization platform with an aggregation engine resembling Power BI and pandas and made it available from a Python notebook.

Throughout their career, Romain Colle has shown proficiency in various technical areas and has been involved in the development of innovative and impactful projects.

Romain Colle began their education in 2001 at Lycee Pierre de Fermat, where they completed the Classes Préparatoires MP* program from 2001 to 2003. Romain then attended CentraleSupélec from 2003 to 2005, earning an Engineering degree specializing in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and Economics. In 2005, Romain pursued further studies at Stanford University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2006.
