Maria Mills is an accomplished leader in the social care and social enterprise sectors, currently serving as the CEO of Active Prospects since October 2015 and as Chair of Surrey Care Association Ltd from 2023. With extensive experience in various leadership roles, Maria's prior positions include Non-Executive Director at The Nuffield Theatre, Interim Head of Operations South at Turning Point, and Regional Director - South at Community Integrated Care. Notably, Maria was also the CEO of Social Care in Action and served as the Social Enterprise Ambassador for the Cabinet Office/SEUK, promoting the social enterprise sector nationally. Maria possesses a strong educational background with degrees in Sociology, Urban Studies/Affairs, and Business Administration and Management from esteemed institutions including the University of Sussex and Sheffield Hallam University.
