Hendrikus van Hensbergen is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Action for Conservation, an organization established in 2014 to empower young people aged 12-24 to engage with environmental issues. Under Hendrikus's leadership, Action for Conservation has grown into a recognized charity operating across the UK, employing 18 full-time staff, and raising significant funding. In addition to this role, Hendrikus is an author for Penguin Random House, having published the book *How You Can Save the Planet*, aimed at inspiring youth to take environmental action. Hendrikus also serves as an Advisory Panel Member for the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation's Our Natural World Strategy and has held previous positions including Forest Policy Manager at WWF-UK and Sustainability Manager at the Timber Trade Federation. Educationally, Hendrikus holds an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation & Management from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Bristol.
