David Akers is a seasoned UX researcher with extensive experience at Google, serving as Principal UX Researcher (Director) in the Trust division, and holding titles such as Senior UX Research Manager and Senior UX Researcher in Google Search. Prior to joining Google, David contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Puget Sound and gained technical expertise as a Software Engineer at SGI. David's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University. Currently, David is focused on personal goal pursuit during a career break.
