Joshua Waihi has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Joshua started their career as a Web Developer at Springload in 2008. Joshua then joined Catalyst IT Limited as a Web Architect, where they worked with various clients and performed roles such as BA, Technical Lead, PHP/Drupal Developer, and DBA. In 2013, they organized a Drupal conference as a Conference Organizer.
In 2014, Waihi joined Acquia, where they held multiple positions. Joshua started as a Digital Strategy Consultant & Senior Technical Account Manager, providing consultancy and guiding customers on technical decisions. Joshua later became the Region Lead, leading the technical account management practice in the APJ region. Joshua then served as the Practice Manager, responsible for managing the Technical Account Management practice regionally. Waihi further advanced in their career at Acquia as the Senior Manager, managing the Technical Account Management practice and the Marketing Cloud Consultant practice for APJ. Their responsibilities included staff recruitment, sales support, and customer visits.
In 2021, Waihi became the Director of Customer Success at Acquia, where they managed a consulting business tied to a $15M annual renewal revenue. Joshua focused on aligning cross-functional teams towards desired customer outcomes and implementing a data-driven product training program. Currently, Waihi holds the position of Director of Product Management at Acquia, where they manage a portfolio of products, drives business and customer outcomes, and prioritizes product roadmaps based on desired customer outcomes.
Joshua Waihi has a background in both IT and music. In 2007, they pursued web development at the Natcoll Institute of Design. A year prior, in 2006, they obtained a foundation certificate in Jazz Music from the New Zealand School of Music. Additionally, Joshua holds certifications such as PMC Level III, PMC Level II, PMC Level I, Certified Scrum Master, and Acquia Drupal Developer Certified.
