Martin Wall is an experienced professional with a robust background in analytical projects and economic research. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser at the Ministry of Health New Zealand since November 2018, Martin focuses on key projects such as the Global Burden of Disease and health loss estimates for Maori and non-Maori populations. Prior roles include Research and Data Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Senior Researcher at Massey University, and Research Fellow at Imperial College London, where Martin contributed to understanding the economic impacts of HIV/AIDS. Additional experience encompasses technical advisory roles in various international development settings, including the Department for International Development and the Ministry of Finance in Azerbaijan. Martin holds a PhD and MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Essex.
