Claudia Narvaez-Meza, LCSW, MFA, is an experienced psychotherapist currently in private practice at CNM Therapy since March 2013 and serving as an extern at the Ackerman Institute for the Family since September 2013, focusing on family and couple therapy through a family systems framework. Prior experiences include working as a Trauma Recovery Clinician at the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, providing long-term therapy to abused children and their families, and as a Fee for Service Therapist at the Institute for Human Identity, delivering short-term therapy to LGBTQ individuals and families. Additional roles featured volunteer chaplaincy at the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care and supervision of social work students at Hunter College School of Social Work. Education includes a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College.
