David Tinker, MPA, MISST, CFRE, FAFP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector. David served as the Vice President of Advancement at ACHIEVA, overseeing fundraising and communications departments for a prominent disability nonprofit. In this role, they managed major gifts, planned giving, stewardship, fundraising planning, and donor engagement. David also had responsibilities in marketing, communications, and staff management. David also worked as a Director of Development at ACHIEVA prior to becoming the Vice President.

David Tinker, MPA, MISST, CFRE, FAFP has an extensive education history. In 1985, they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Schenley High School Teacher's Center. David then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and English from Muskingum University in 1989.
David's pursuit of education continued with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 1993 to 1995. In 1996, they completed Class III at Leadership Works in Indianapolis.
In 2008 to 2010, David studied Information Strategy, Systems, and Technology, earning a Master of Information Strategy, Systems, and Technology (MISST) degree at Muskingum University.
Furthering their education, they attended the University of Delaware in 2017 for the National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities program.
Most recently, in 2021 to 2022, David became a part of the inaugural cohort at the Innovation and Policy Institute - PSBA, where they studied Innovation and Policy in Public Education.
In addition to their formal education, David holds several certifications. David is an approved trainer for the Grant Professionals Association and received the ACE Certification Level 1 from the Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball in 2014. David also holds the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification but the specific date of completion is unknown. David has also obtained the Master Trainer certification from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-Global).
