Tom Shannon is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in application development and support. Currently serving at Acero Precision since August 2021, Tom enhances a critical legacy productivity and quality tracking application, with plans to re-platform from VB6. Prior to this role, Tom spent a decade at CIGNA as an App Development Senior Specialist, focusing on a complex C/Unix/Java application for the Home Delivery Pharmacy business. Tom's career also includes a position as Senior Systems Analyst at the University of Pennsylvania, where analysis and implementation of software applications supported medical research studies. Earlier experience includes leadership as VP of Network Services Delivery at USA Technologies, and roles as a Developer at New Horizons Development Group and Programmer Analyst at General Accident Insurance Company (Ja.) Limited. Tom holds a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
