James Yorston is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as a Senior Development Manager at ACE Power since October 2023. Previously, James held the position of Director of Energy Operations and Principal Engineer at Providence Climate Capital from January 2022 to October 2023. James also gained extensive experience as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant at RINA from January 2017 to January 2022. Prior roles include Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant at Energy Action, and Project Engineer at NEP Solar Pty Ltd, where involvement included the design and management of solar thermal systems and parabolic trough collectors. Additionally, James worked as a Project Engineer with New Energy Partners (Wind), contributing to projects such as the Cullerin and Conroy’s Gap wind farms. James holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, completed in 2003, and attended The Kings School in Sydney, Australia, from 1992 to 1997.
