Odessa Adebayo is currently working as the Director of Technology Project Management at ACDI/VOCA since February 2021. From 2015 to 2020, they held the position of Senior Program Manager at Amtrak. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2014, Odessa worked as a Senior Project Manager at Verizon Business, managing programs and projects with significant financial impact and revenue. Their responsibilities included decommissioning, migrating, and enhancing customer portal applications, billing, and customer care systems. Before joining Verizon Business, Odessa worked as a Business Analyst/Project Manager at Ajilon, where they were involved in the implementation and deployment of a new billing system for Bell Atlantic Potomac regions. Odessa also worked as a Senior Legal Staff Member at Selective Settlement/AEC Financial, where they designed and implemented automated databases and negotiated settlements for clients in the field of medical malpractice and personal injury.
Odessa Adebayo, PMP, CSM, has a strong educational background in law. Odessa obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1988. In 1992, they pursued continuing legal education at Widener University School of Law. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, in 2009, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI. Odessa also holds the Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) certification from SCRUMstudy and is a member of the New York State Bar.
