Chris Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Chris began their career in 1995 as a Golf Caddie at Somerset Country Club. After that, they worked as a Swimming Instructor and Lifeguard at the American Red Cross from 1998 to 2003. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as a Cashier and Customer Service Manager at Rainbow Foods. In 2002, they joined Milwaukee School of Engineering as an Office Assistant until 2005. In 2004, they started working as a Screening Representative (Contractor) at Allied Integrated Marketing and continued until 2010. Additionally, they had an internship as an eBusiness Marketing Intern at Brady Corporation from 2005 to 2006. Chris co-founded Jade Ghost LLC in 2010, where they served as a Digital Marketing Strategist, SEO Analyst, and Business Development Consultant until 2015. That same year, they co-founded Purple Koi Designs LLC and held various roles, including Co-Founder, Sales Rep, and Character/Voice Actor until 2015 as well. In 2012, Chris joined Accuray as a Technical Communications Specialist and progressed to become a Senior Technical Writer in 2016. Chris then served as an Interim Global Tech Comm Team Manager for TomoTherapy Program & Localization until 2017. From 2017 until 2019, they worked as a Lead Technical Writer for TomoTherapy Systems. Currently, they hold the position of Engineering Program & Project Manager - Radiation Delivery Systems at Accuray since July 2019.
Chris Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Technical Communication with a minor in Marketing Management from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Chris attended the school from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they participated in the College in the Schools Program at the University of Minnesota in 2001 and 2002, studying English Language and Literature. Alongside their formal education, Chris has obtained several certifications, including Design Thinking: Understanding the Process, Leading Your Org on a Journey of Allyship, Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences, SharePoint for Enterprise: Data Management, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Usability (Application Design).
