Jun S. has a diverse work experience in the field of ultrasound engineering and research. Starting in 2007, Jun worked as a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego, where they focused on cardiac mechanics research, developing computational methods for prediction and optimization of cardiac resynchronization therapy in patients with congestive heart failure. They also worked on image processing and analysis with clinical CT, diffusion tensor MRI, and cardiac ultrasound data.
In 2012, Jun interned as an Ultrasound Engineering Intern at Siemens Healthcare.
In 2014, Jun joined Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
In 2015, Jun moved to Philips, where they initially worked as a Scientist and later became a Senior Scientist. Their roles at Philips involved scientific research.
Most recently, in 2023, Jun joined AccuPulse Medical Inc as a Principal Ultrasound Engineer.
Jun S. obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California, which was completed from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, from 2005 to 2008, Jun S. completed a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering, also at UC San Diego.
In terms of additional certifications, Jun S. acquired "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for All" from LinkedIn in July 2020, and "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google in October 2019.
