Edze Tijsma is an experienced technology manager with a strong background in product development across various industries. Currently serving as Technology Manager at Accsys since November 2020, Edze focuses on acetylated wood products, overseeing modification processes and performance evaluations. Prior roles include R&D Manager at Smit & Zoon, where Edze led a team in the leather processing industry, and Manager of Product Development at Sonneborn Refined Products B.V., specializing in petrolatum and wax formulations. Edze has further expertise as a Senior Principal Development Chemist at Air Products, Senior Application Scientist at Eastman Chemical Company, Principal Scientist at Medtronic, Senior Scientist at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, and Product Developer at Sigma Coatings Nederland. Edze holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente.
