Lars-Erik Wernersson began their career in 2005 as a Co-founder of QuNano. In the same year, they also began working as a Professor Nanoelectronics at Lund University. In 2011, they took on a role as a Guest Professor at the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Co-Founder and Initiator at Acconeer AB. In 2016, they became a Co-founder and Initiator at NordAmps.

Lars-Erik Wernersson completed a PhD in Nanotechnology from Lund University between 1987 and 1998. Lars-Erik also obtained a Civilingenj\u00f6r in Teknisk Fysik from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 1987 and 1993. Lars-Erik also attended Polhem Lund, though it is unknown what they studied there.
