Kevin Miller started their work experience in 2013 as a PhD Researcher at Vanderbilt University. Kevin worked in this role until May 2018. In June 2018, they joined SpaceX as a Sensors Development Engineer II and worked there until January 2019. Since May 2019, they have been working as a Senior Service Engineer at Access Laser Company.

Kevin Miller completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics at Valparaiso University from 2009 to 2013. Kevin then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Interdisciplinary Materials Science with a focus on silicon photonics at Vanderbilt University from 2013 to 2018. In 2013, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at Universidad de Zaragoza, where they studied Spanish.
