Eric Michaelsen has worked for various companies in the field of information security and network engineering. In 1995, they began their career as a Telecommunications Specialist at ED&F Man. From 1997 to 2012, they served as a Senior Network Engineer at Tellabs Operations Inc. Following this, they worked at Ulta as a Senior Network Engineer from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they took on the role of Lead Network Engineer at Coriant, Inc. before joining FTD as a Senior Network Engineer in 2015. At FTD, they later transitioned to the role of Senior Information Security Engineer. Currently, Eric is employed at Accertify, Inc. as a Senior Information Security Engineer since 2022.

Eric Michaelsen attended Roosevelt University from 1992 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Management. In addition to their formal education, Eric holds a certification in CCNA from Cisco, although the month and year of its attainment are unknown.
