Jie Wu has worked in a variety of roles in the field of bioinformatics. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Research Bioinformatician at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2008, they became a Graduate Student at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at various institutions, including Columbia University Medical Center as a Visiting Graduate Student, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Bioinformatics Scientist, and Philips as a Senior Research Scientist. Most recently, they are an Associate Director of Bioinformatics at Accent Therapeutics, Inc.
Jie Wu obtained a Bachelor's degree in biophysics from Nankai University between 2000 and 2004. Jie then continued their studies at the same university, obtaining a Master's degree in Bioinformatics between 2004 and 2007. In 2008, they completed their Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at Stony Brook University.
