Olia Anastasiou has a diverse range of work experience in the field of clinical research and stem cell banking. Olia began their career as a Lab Director at Alexandroupoli University Hospital IVF Unit in 2004 and later worked as a Clinical Embryologist at the IVF Unit Tenon Hospital Paris. During this time, they also served as a Research Coordinator and Project Supervisor in the field of epigenetics and assisted reproduction. In 2005, Olia transitioned to the role of Scientific Director at LIAISON Stem Cell Banking, where they stayed until 2011. Olia then joined CRAxis Contract Research Organization as a Clinical Research Associate and subsequently moved to Zeincro Hellas S.A. / ICON plc in the same role. In 2013, Olia joined Accelsiors CRO and took on various roles, including Lead CRA - Clinical Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Director, and currently serves as an Associate Director of Project Management. Olia'swork experience spans over 16 years and showcases their expertise in the field of clinical research and project management.
Olia Anastasiou's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology from the University of Sussex, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Olia further pursued their studies and completed a PhD in Molecular Hematology & Cancer Biology from UCL from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, Olia Anastasiou attended Medical School Universite Rene Descartes Paris from 2001 to 2002, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biology of Reproduction.
Apart from their academic degrees, Olia Anastasiou also holds additional certifications. Olia obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2020. In May 2011, they received a Clinical Research Certificate from Pharmaschool.
