Elmer Nocon has been working in the software engineering and game development industries since 2013. Elmer began their career as a Unity Instructor at the Game Development Institute, where they taught beginner to intermediate Unity3D courses and participated in the development and assessment of curriculum, course learning objectives, and course outcomes. In 2013, they joined Fandom, Inc. as a Game Developer, where they designed, prototyped, and developed mobile games with Unity3D, developed augmented-reality/motion tracking apps for expo-use by local vendors, and developed cross-platform mobile apps with Xamarin. In 2018, they joined Synergy88 as a Senior Game Developer, where they were responsible for overhauling the development pipeline and ensuring that the team delivered clean, reusable, maintainable, documented code. Elmer also spearheaded the restructuring of the in-house Unity3D libraries and development of a client software development kit (SDK) for an unreleased games platform. In 2020, they joined Big Crunch Digital as a Senior Game Developer, where they developed a client-side software development kit (SDK) and its toolchain for an unreleased games platform. Elmer also automated build and deployment using GitHub Actions to reduce human error and speed up production processes. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at both AccelByte Inc. and Mochimocha Ltd.
Elmer Nocon obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology with specialization in Game Design and Development from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in 2013. In 2018, they began pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science - MSCS from De La Salle University and is expected to complete it in 2022. In 2019, they obtained a Unity Certified Associate certification from Unity Technologies.
