Maurelis Leon-Pereira has worked at multiple companies throughout their career. Maurelis started working as a Technical Consultant at SchlumbergerSema in 2000 and remained in that role until 2004. In 2004, they joined IUPUI as an Information Reporting Specialist. After working at IUPUI for a year, they moved on to Atos in 2005. At Atos, they held various roles including Project Manager, Desktop Operations Manager, and Program Manager. Maurelis worked at Atos until 2012. Most recently, in 2018, they began working at Accela as an Enterprise Project Manager, where they are presently employed.

Maurelis Leon-Pereira completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business from the same university between 1993 and 1996. Maurelis also holds a certification in Microsoft Project 2019 and Project Online Desktop Essential Training, obtained from LinkedIn in September 2019.
