Jason Plaisted has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jason started their career in 2003 at the City of Rochester, where they served as a Computer Application Specialist, managing the implementation of security card access systems and developing a custom dispatch system. Jason then became a Senior Applications Analyst, responsible for evaluating and selecting enterprise system software and leading the implementation of Lagan Frontlink software for the 311 Call Center. Jason later became the Manager of Business Process Services, overseeing the evaluation, selection, and deployment of enterprise software systems and assisting departments in business process mapping and optimization.
In 2009, Jason founded Nova Fitness LLC, where they served as the Owner and Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor. Jason trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2003 and achieved a Black Belt in January 2016.
Since 2011, Jason has been working at Accela, a software company for government solutions. Jason started as a Solution Consultant, providing support to the sales and services teams in configuring products for land management, asset management, code enforcement, service requests, and GIS. Jason then became a Customer Success Manager, founding the Customer Success Management group and impacting existing customers through onsite support and training. Jason later assumed the role of Senior Customer Success Manager, working to make the Customer Success Management Practice at Accela the best in the industry. Currently, Jason serves as a Senior Product Manager, leading a team in building the Accela Civic Applications, which automate government processes in areas such as building, planning, trade licensing, code enforcement, and more, using a configurable rules engine.

Jason Plaisted attended Monroe Community College from 1997 to 2000, where they earned an Associate degree in Computer Science. Jason then pursued further education at Rochester Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2003, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering.
