David Henley, K.C. is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Counsel at Irving Shipbuilding, providing support on key legal issues since June 2015 after retiring as Vice President and General Counsel. With a strong background in maritime and environmental law, David is also an Associate Member of the Marine & Environmental Law Institute at Dalhousie University and a part-time faculty member, teaching Fisheries Law. David's extensive legal experience includes serving as Counsel for Henley Professional Services Inc. and as a Member of the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada. Prior to their legal career, David had a distinguished 30-year tenure with the Canadian Forces, retiring as a Brigadier-General. David's academic credentials include a Master of Laws in Marine Environmental Law and a Bachelor of Laws, both from Dalhousie University and the University of New Brunswick.
